Description Job Title Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician (BMET) - Level I Location Portland, ME Description The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) - Level I is responsible for performing routine and complex maintenance, calibration, and repairs on a wide range of biomedical equipment. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The technician will also provide training and support to junior staff and clinical users. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct routine and complex maintenance, calibration, and repairs on biomedical equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, utilizing schematics and technical manuals. Ensure all biomedical equipment meets safety and performance standards. Document all maintenance and repair actions in the equipment management system. Provide training and support to junior technicians and clinical staff. Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors for technical support and equipment updates. Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new biomedical equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Travel To be Determined. Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 0630-1500 or 0700-1530 On call, as required.
