Full-Time, Onsite Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician II (BMET II) to join their Clinical Engineering team in Omaha, Nebraska. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong background in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating a wide variety of medical equipment in a healthcare environment. The BMET II will support clinicians and healthcare operations by ensuring medical devices remain safe, compliant, and operational. This role requires independent problem-solving, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage equipment maintenance activities across multiple departments. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and repairs on a broad range of biomedical equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues with minimal supervision. Conduct equipment performance verification and safety testing in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements. Document maintenance, repairs, and service activities within the CMMS system. Coordinate with clinicians, nursing staff, and vendors to minimize equipment downtime. Assist with new equipment installations, acceptance testing, and commissioning activities. Support regulatory compliance efforts related to The Joint Commission, CMS, and other applicable standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians when needed. Participate in on-call support and emergency response activities as required. Required Qualifications Minimum 7 years of biomedical equipment maintenance experience in a hospital or healthcare environment. Strong experience servicing a diverse portfolio of medical devices, including patient monitoring, infusion pumps, telemetry, and general biomedical equipment. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and networked medical systems. Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize workload. Preferred Qualifications CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) certification strongly preferred. Other relevant certifications such as

CRES, CLES, CABT, AAMI

certifications, or manufacturer-specific training are highly desirable. Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics Technology, Military BMET training, or equivalent technical education. Experience supporting large acute-care health systems.
