Job Description

Under direct supervision, responsible for sterilizing and decontaminating surgical instruments and equipment for use in the treatment rooms and throughout facilities and clinics.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm with flexibility Possess basic computer knowledge and skills (Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint). Effectively communicates, both verbally and in writing; ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to multi task without losing efficiency and quality of work. Ability to think critically in situations where speed and sustained attention are important.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED is required. Sterilizes and performs routine care to clinical instruments, supplies and equipment. Assembles instrument carts. Tracks and maintains the total inventory of instruments, disposables, and implants. Performs preventive maintenance on clinic handpieces and other clinic equipment. Ensures proper utilization and compliance with clinic and equipment loan policies; follows up on loaned equipment. Dispenses equipment to students, faculty and all specialty departments. Makes recommendations to manager regarding tray setups, handpieces and equipment. Performs all other duties as assigned.
