Job Description

South County Health is seeking a full-time oncology/hematology physician to join our established and expanding cancer program. The ideal candidate will be comfortable treating a broad range of solid tumor sites, benign and malignant hematology conditions. Candidates must be board-certified, mid -career (7-10 years experience) preferred. Based on qualifications, the opportunity for appointment to Assistant Director of the Cancer Center will be considered. The South County Cancer Center team currently has four medical oncologists, 3 oncology APP's, a complex surgical oncologist, a breast surgical oncologist and 2 radiation oncologists. The oncology team has a state-of-the-art facility; recently updated LINAC, with
MRI, CT PET
available in the system. Collegial specialists in GI/endoscopy, urology, interventional radiology, general surgery and orthopedics provide the ability to provide comprehensive cancer care to the population we serve. The composite cancer program's annual visits are 20,000. The Cancer Center is directly adjacent to the main hospital campus. The oncology clinics are co-located with the infusion center and the surgical oncology physicians. The radiation oncology facility and physicians are also on campus, creating a single geographic setting, a comprehensive community cancer program location.
