N/A This individual is responsible to provide management of the daily cancer registry operations to include but not limited to: maintaining core registry functions (abstracting under the guidance of a certified CTR, follow-up compliance and case finding of registry data) according to cancer program and state standards. The individual will also be responsible for collaborating with the cancer program team to prepare Cancer committee and Breast Leadership program activities.

Qualifications:

AS Enrolled in an associate degree program for cancer registry management or cancer information management from an accredited NCRA-Accredited program, or enrolled in a HIM program accredited by the commission on accreditation for health informatics and information management education with two semesters of human anatomy and physiology. Require 1-3 years

• Knowledge of oncology 1-3 years working in some related field of oncology Knowledge of the Commission on Cancer Program Standards preferred Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement experience preferred. Proficient in MS Office including word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook e-mail. Proficient data analysis. Proficient in coordinating meetings, agendas, minutes and preparing meeting packets. Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of settings including with colleagues, medical staff, other hospital departments and act as a change agent to implement operational efficiencies. Ability to serve as liaison to the medical staff, other hospital departments, and outside agencies. Required Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) and active membership in the national and/or local cancer registrar association. To be completed within 3 years of hire.
