1 Description American Traveler is hiring an EP Lab Technologist for a Level II Trauma acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and

BLS/ACLS

certification. Details Work in the Electrophysiology Lab of an acute care hospital performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, EP studies, structural heart, and interventional radiology procedures Cases include STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, structural heart (PFO, TAVR, Mitral Clip), CRM device implants, and neurointervention procedures 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM including some Saturdays as part of the regular schedule On-call coverage from 6-8pm on days worked, with rare call-backs after leaving May float to like units within scope to meet facility needs Epic EMR used for charting Scrubs provided Free parking available Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience required BLS and ACLS certification required Compact state license required if applicable, and must be in hand at time of consideration Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, EP studies, and interventional radiology procedures preferred Familiarity with Philips X-Ray systems, atherectomy and thrombectomy devices, McKesson, and MacLab/Cardio Lab systems preferred Skills in EKG lead placement, arrhythmia recognition, sterile field maintenance, and hemodynamic monitoring required Must be able to perform procedural responsibilities including equipment setup and accurate monitoring Additional Information Level II Trauma, Magnet-designated facility recognized as a top hospital in Alaska First-time travelers accepted Block scheduling accommodated Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Travelers must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays All time-off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities as needed
