A Cardiovascular Technician or Technologist uses imaging technology and other procedures to diagnose cardiac (heart) and vascular (blood vessel) problems in patients. Works closely with cardiologists and medical sonographers. Works in hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
Overview Utilizes radiographic techniques to obtain diagnostic images.
Qualifications Education required:
High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of Accredited Radiology Program required. Education Preferred. License, Certification and/or
Registration:
ARRT licensure required within 13 months of hire. ARRT(CT) Licensure required within 13 months of hire. BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
