Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract A skilled professional is needed to provide essential support in the CardioVascular Operating Room (CVOR) in a contract capacity. This vital position requires excellent technical skills and a keen attention to patient care while working alongside a multidisciplinary surgical team.
Schedule:
8-hour shifts: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday through
Friday Qualifications:
Previous experience as a CVOR Tech or in a related surgical tech nursing role Formal training from an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred Current certification (CVOR Tech) as required Solid knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and stay calm under pressure Strong organizational and communication abilities
Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary supplies, equipment, and instruments are available and sterile Assist surgical teams throughout cardiovascular procedures, providing critical technical support Maintain strict adherence to sterile field standards and safety protocols Monitor, handle, and account for surgical instruments during procedures Manage equipment before, during, and after surgery, ensuring proper function and cleanliness Document relevant information accurately and in a timely manner Support patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with skilled healthcare professionals committed to delivering quality patient outcomes.
