Summary:

Performs assigned Cardiac procedures (ECGs, Holter Monitoring, Treadmill Stress Testing) and Electroencephalograms (EEGs) for patients referred for testing services as assigned. Hooks up patients accurately. Recognizes technical difficulties which could affect testing outcomes and trouble shoots to obtain optimal test results. Downloads data for physician review. Documents appropriately. Maintains good relationships with patients, family members, staff and physicians.

EDUCATION

High School diploma or equivalent; prefer successful completion of 12 hours of college courses, which include 3 hours of English Composition.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE

Minimum of twelve (12) months experience as an EEG/EMG Tech and complete course in EEG/EMG Technology is preferred. Is able to demonstrate Neurodiagnostics Tech competencies as related to job. Current CPR required.

Works in a clean, well-lighted, air-conditioned environment. may be some exposure to infectious diseases and toxic chemicals with safety measures and follow up treatment provided. Frequent stressful conditions encountered in patient care and time management of patient load. Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods. This job will be authorized 0.01 hours bi-weekly.
