Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our cardiovascular team. In this vital role, you will operate advanced imaging and diagnostic equipment within the cardiac catheterization laboratory to facilitate precise cardiac and vascular assessments. Your expertise will support interventional procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through meticulous technical execution and compassionate patient care. Duties Prepare and operate specialized medical equipment for cardiac catheterizations, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound imaging, and other diagnostic procedures. Assist cardiologists during interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, including cardiac stress tests and electrophysiology studies. Monitor patient vital signs continuously, ensuring stability throughout diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. Maintain strict aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards during invasive procedures. Analyze cardiac rhythms and perform cardiac diagnostics to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Document procedural details, imaging results, and patient responses accurately within electronic health records and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). Support the interpretation of physiological data, including anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and cardiovascular technology insights to enhance diagnostic evaluation. Requirements Proven experience working in a cath lab environment with proficiency in cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology procedures. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and cardiovascular technology principles. Skilled in operating complex medical equipment such as ultrasound devices, fluoroscopy units, and PACS systems. Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols, Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred. Ability to perform vascular ultrasound imaging and cardiac rhythm analysis with precision. Excellent understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices during invasive procedures. Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist is required; additional credentials in sonography or echocardiography are advantageous.
