1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and RCIS certification to support cardiac and peripheral invasive procedures. Details Acute care cardiac cath lab setting with 2 procedure beds/labs Average of 8 cases per day Cases include all cardiac invasive procedures (excluding structural heart) as well as peripheral procedures such as carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostics/interventions Uses Cerner EMR Monday-Friday day shift, 0700-1730, plus required call Call requirement averages 12 days per month, including at least one weekend (Friday 1730 to Monday 0700), with a 30-minute response time Holiday coverage is required via rotating, assigned call No floating required Facility has Charge Nurse coverage, dedicated Cath Lab/IR Techs, IV Team, 24/7 RT, and 24/7 Pharmacy support Requirements Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification required BLS certification required Must have scrub experience for
PCI/STEMI
cases Must be able to scrub both cardiac and peripheral cases Radiology license not required License required if applicable Active state or compact (NLC) license required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted Copy of driver's license required to validate legal name for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include scrubbing in for cardiac invasive procedures and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional cases Floor-specific orientation generally consists of 1-2 shifts depending on skill level, in addition to 12 hours of general orientation Hospital-provided scrubs Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity Health, within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will still be considered
