Shift:

4x10-hour days (approximately 7:00 AM-5:30 PM) Start date: 09/28/2026 Work setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital Responsibilities Facilitate physician performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic cardiovascular procedures; handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures; maintain the sterile field and patient safety. Set up the sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions; assist in draping and maintaining the sterile field; pass instruments to the surgeon as needed. Anticipate surgeon's needs, perform appropriate counts with the circulator prior to incision and before closure, and prepare sterile dressings for application and secure dressings after incision. Verify procedures and ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are available; obtain sterile and non-sterile items needed for the procedure; assist in room turnover and prepare the room for the next patient. Assist other team members as assigned; document procedures and pertinent information in the patient record per policy; maintain equipment and supplies to support efficient workflow. Uphold established safety, infection control, and EPIC documentation practices throughout the assignment.

Requirements Education:

Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in

Surgical Technology Licenses/Certifications:

National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certified (preferred); CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (preferred)

Experience:

At least two years of recent experience in the field; heart/cardiovascular experience preferred

Certifications/EHR:

EPIC electronic health record experience required

Licensure:
