1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit requiring ARRT (R) or RCIS certification and prior IR experience. Details Interventional Radiology Lab setting supporting cardiologists, radiologists, and RNs 4x10 hour day shifts, with start times of 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM No weekend shift requirement, but rotating night and weekend call is required Uses fluoroscopy, Siemens equipment, ultrasound, and PACS Requirements ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required; if ARRT (R), a California radiology technologist license is required License required if applicable BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required Fluoroscopy permit required Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an IR Tech required Prior travel experience required Skilled in vascular, neurological, and genitourinary IR studies and procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and vascular closure systems Experience with EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and equipment set-up Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and monitor patients accurately Additional Information Provide technical and procedural support for a wide range of interventional radiology and cardiac procedures May mentor and train students Follows strict adherence to safety, privacy, and regulatory standards Accepts first-time travelers Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler Requires completion of lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
