Job Description

Intermountain Health seeks a skilled Cath Lab Tech to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment. In this patient-centered role, you'll prepare and operate cath lab imaging and hemodynamic equipment, monitor and document patient status, and assist cardiologists during complex cases. Responsibilities Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures under physician direction Prepare cath lab equipment, set up sterile fields, and ensure proper functioning of imaging and hemodynamic systems Monitor and document patient status, including vital signs, rhythms, and hemodynamics during procedures Administer contrast media and medications as delegated, adhering to safety and compliance standards Ensure accurate procedure documentation, charge capture, and maintenance of patient records Maintain radiation safety practices and infection-control standards for patients and staff Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and anesthesia team to coordinate safe, efficient patient care Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient education and support Participate in on-call rotation for emergent cardiac procedures as required Support continuous quality improvement, equipment troubleshooting, and staff education initiatives Required Skills Cardiac catheterization procedures Fluoroscopy and imaging operation Hemodynamic monitoring Sterile technique and infection control Radiation safety practices ECG/EKG interpretation Medication and contrast administration support Electronic medical record documentation Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Patient monitoring and recovery
