Job Description We are seeking to hire a motivated and skilled Registered Cardiac/Vascular Technologist (RDCS, RVT—both preferable) to join one of Denver's busiest cardiology practices. Candidate must be able to work at a fast-paced environment and be a team player.

•Essential functions: Must be able to multi-task and work efficiently under minimal supervision. Cardiac sonographer must be competent at performing Echo, Stress Echo, Dobutamine Echo, Agitated saline studies & the use of Definity. Vascular sonographer must be competent at performing abdominal aorta, carotid, peripheral arterial/venous and renal artery ultrasound examinations. Experience with venous ablation a plus. Must be competent at interpreting all of the above mentioned exams and writing formal reports.

Qualifications:

2 years previous experience as either cardiac or vascular sonographer. Successful completion of an approved training program in Diagnostic Medical/Cardiac Sonography or equivalent training, required. Currently registered by the ARDMS or CCI. Knowledge of detailed cardiac anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures and cardiac pathology and presentation. Knowledge of detailed vascular anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures and vascular pathology and presentation.

Skills:

Must demonstrate competency in all areas of echocardiography/ vascular scanning/interpretation. Knowledge of 12 lead electrocardiograms, arrhythmias and heart blocks. Must have basic computer skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, co-workers, peers, patients and physicians. Must demonstrate good organizational and technical skills. Must provide safe patient care, as well as display appropriate judgement and problem solving skills. Skills in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional sonography to provide ongoing patient care. Skills in identifying cardiac/vascular problems that need to be immediate attention. Skills in preparing records, writing reports and responding to correspondence.

Abilities:

Ability to maintain quality control standards and follow department and company policies. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies. Ability to communicate clearly. Requires working under stressful conditions and working irregular hours on occasion and/or Saturday mornings.
