Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and responsive Cath Lab Technician to join our dynamic cardiovascular care team. In this critical role, you will provide rapid response support during emergent cardiac and vascular procedures, ensuring immediate and effective patient care. Your expertise in cardiac diagnostics, interventional radiology, and emergency response will be vital in delivering life-saving interventions within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of cardiovascular technology, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques, contributing to optimal patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Duties Respond swiftly to emergency situations requiring urgent cardiac or vascular interventions, providing immediate technical support in the cath lab setting. Operate and troubleshoot advanced medical equipment including fluoroscopy systems, vascular ultrasound imaging devices, and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS). Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as echocardiography, cardiac stress tests, and cardiac rhythm analysis to facilitate accurate diagnosis. Support interventional cardiology procedures by preparing equipment, maintaining sterile fields, and monitoring vital signs throughout interventions. Conduct thorough assessments of patient physiology, including vital signs and cardiovascular status, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including emergency medicine personnel and trauma specialists—to deliver seamless care during Level I and Level II trauma center responses. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, equipment usage, and patient responses to ensure compliance with clinical standards. Experience Proven cath lab experience with a strong background in cardiac catheterization procedures. Familiarity with telemetry monitoring, interventional radiology techniques, and vascular ultrasound imaging. Knowledge of cardiac diagnostics including echocardiography, stress testing, and rhythm analysis. Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to operate complex medical equipment safely and efficiently. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy relevant to cardiovascular health, and physiology principles. Prior exposure to emergency medicine environments requiring rapid decision-making and response. Certification in cardiovascular technology or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development in cardiology or emergency response is advantageous.
