The Monitoring Technician is responsible for the surveillance of cardiac monitors at central monitoring station; is expert at measurement and interpretation of cardiac rhythms; manages alarms and provides RNs and/or other clinician's immediate notifications of changes of cardiac or respiratory changes per policy.
Qualifications:
H.S Diploma or G.E.D. required Associate's Degree preferred Experience in cardiac monitoring preferred Ability to successfully complete arrhythmia course or challenge test with minimum passing score of 90 required

Per Diem
  • Varied Shifts Gaylord nursing units offer a variety of skills such as:
Milne Units:
Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes: Continuous telemetry monitoring Ventilator support and weaning LVAD patient population Heart Transplant population Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical Units offer skills such as: Stroke Complex wounds Telemetry Pulmonary care Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty Units are CARF Accredited with a focused patient population: Traumatic Brain Injury Stroke Spinal cord Injury
