The Patient Care Technician (PCT/CNA) performs a variety of patient care activities at Gaylord hospital. Working under the direction the RN, the PCT's have valuable exposure to a wide variety of patient populations and skills while working in a warm and friendly atmosphere with supportive, interdisciplinary teams. With an average patient length of stay 25-30 days, the PCT is able to develop strong relationships and play a key role in the recovery of our patients.
Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma or GED required CNA, CPCT, CEMT, CMA or RMA required or equivalent Training Program Patient care experience preferred American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) CPR Certification required prior to hire
WORK SCHEDULE
24 hours/week, day shift (7:00 am-3:30 pm ), every other weekend/holiday rotation Gaylord nursing units offer a variety of skills such as:
Milne Units:
Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes: Continuous telemetry monitoring Ventilator support and weaning LVAD patient population Heart Transplant population Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical Units offer skills such as: Stroke Complex wounds Telemetry Pulmonary care Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty Units are CARF Accredited with a focused patient population: Traumatic Brain Injury Stroke Spinal cord Injury
