Responsibilities A Cath Lab Technologist picking up travel assignments in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory may be expected to: Utilize EMR to record patients' medical information and vital signs Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in accordance with facility protocols Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and sterile fields for cardiac catheterization and related procedures Operate and maintain imaging, monitoring, and specialized cath lab equipment Monitor patient status during procedures and promptly communicate significant changes to the healthcare team Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport before and after procedures Maintain accurate procedure documentation and ensure appropriate handling of patient records and imaging data Adhere to radiation safety practices, infection control standards, and sterile technique requirements Maintain compliance with facility policies, radiation safety standards, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active Cath Lab Tech certification Minimum 1 year of experience working in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations Credentials Required Active and unencumbered CT Cath Lab Tech License Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport CPR/BLS Tuberculosis (TB) Test Flu Vaccine (during Flu season) Covid-19 Vaccine (religious/medical exemptions accepted) Resume Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement About Elite Medical Staffing Elite Medical Staffing is a healthcare staffing agency connecting experienced nursing and allied healthcare professionals with flexible, high-paying opportunities.
