Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Invasive Cardiac Technologist to join our outpatient surgery center, specializing in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in cardiovascular diagnostics, interventional radiology, and advanced imaging techniques. We have state of art systems featuring Medtronix Pulse Select and Affera as well as cardiac NXT and Mac Lab. Duties Perform invasive cardiac procedures including cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, and vascular ultrasound imaging with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Operate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment such as fluoroscopy units, PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems), and diagnostic monitors to ensure optimal image quality and procedural success. Monitor vital signs, interpret cardiac rhythm analysis, and assess patient physiology during procedures to ensure stability and safety throughout interventions. Assist physicians with interventional cardiology procedures, including balloon angioplasty, stent placements, and other minimally invasive treatments. Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as echocardiography and cardiac stress tests to support comprehensive cardiovascular assessments. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, findings, and patient responses in compliance with healthcare regulations and departmental protocols. Uphold strict infection control standards through proper aseptic technique and adherence to safety guidelines within the cath lab environment. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, radiologists, nurses, and support staff to deliver seamless patient care. Requirements Proven experience as an Invasive Cardiac Technologist with extensive knowledge of cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology procedures, and vascular ultrasound imaging. Demonstrated proficiency in operating advanced cardiovascular technology including fluoroscopy equipment, PACS systems, sonography devices, and vital signs monitoring tools. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy related to the cardiovascular system, and physiology principles relevant to invasive procedures. Prior experience working in cath labs within Level I or Level II trauma centers or emergency medicine settings is highly desirable. Certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS or equivalent) or relevant licensure required; additional credentials in echocardiography or vascular ultrasound are advantageous. Excellent communication skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail for accurate diagnostic evaluation and documentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a focus on patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
