Larkin Community Hospital - 3.5 Hialeah, FL Job Details Full-time 13 hours ago Qualifications BLS Certification Full Job Description We are seeking a Cardiac Tech or Interventional Radiology Tech for our facility. The Cardiac / Interventional Radiology technologist assists physicians in performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images.
Responsibilities:
Monitors and assists patients before, during and after procedures to include proper positioning, prep and drape. Able to scrub and circulate in various IR areas for multiple procedure types. Turns over and prepares rooms using aseptic technique between patients, assures all equipment and supplies are readily available for procedures. Flexible team player comfortable with a fast-paced environment. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Knowledge of arterial and venous anatomy as it pertains to interventional procedures.
Qualifications:
Current BLS for the healthcare provider. RCIS Certification Active and unrestricted RT license in the state of Florida preferred Minimum 3 years clinical experience. Interventional Radiology experience preferred. AART or equivalent (for RT position, not required for Scrub Tech) Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. These include, but are not limited to, sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time, lifting, pulling, moving patients/objects > 50 pounds, and repetitive motions. Ability to multitask, prioritizes effectively, and must be a team player. On Call coverage Require that CVTs working in the Cardiac Cath Lab must take call. They must be available to be contacted and report to work within thirty (30) minutes.
