Job Description
Department Cardiology Invasive Job Summary Performs cardiovascular procedures in the Invasive Cardiology Department under the supervision of the Cardiologist and/or the Electrophysiologist at a level not requiring constant supervision of the technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment. Assumes responsibility for designated Lab and any procedures performed in that Lab as required. Responsible for basic patient care and quality customer service. Cardiovascular Technologist working in the Cardiac Cath Lab must take call as assigned and be able to report to work within thirty (30) minutes of page/call. Required Qualifications
- Require two (2) years of experience in an Interventional Cardiac Cath and/or Electrophysiology Lab.
- Require graduation from an accredited Health Science program (Associate of Science degree or higher) or graduate of an approved/accredited school or cardiovascular program.
- Require one of the following:
- Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS and/or RCES) OR
- Require one of the following within one (1) year of hire date:
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (CV, CI, RCIS, and/or RCES),
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RCIS and/or RCES),
- Registered Nurse (RCIS and/or RCES)
- Require current licensure or registration in the state of Florida (excluding CVT).
- Require current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications within ninety (90) days of hire date. Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer intermediate/expert knowledge of hospital computer applications.
- Prefer Structural Heart experience.
