Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator. Provides course syllabi for instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator. Engages in the academic roles of teaching, service, scholarship, and research. Takes attendance each class period and reports non-attendance to the Office of the Registrar. Grades examinations and assignments, reviews evaluations with students, and meets all established deadlines for testing, assignments, and grade submissions. Advises and mentors students, formulating and administering student competencies as needed. Reviews and assists with revisions needed for department policies, procedures and accreditation. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work in both a face-to-face and online teaching environment. [Required]
- Knowledge of computer based academic delivery systems. [Required]
- Ability to work with an ethnically diverse student body.
Education:
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- Degree at or above the degree level of the course being taught, from a regionally-accredited academic institution
- Meet the standards set by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, Colleges and Universities.
