Job Description
As a Cardiovascular Technician RCIS at HCA Healthcare, you will support interventional cardiology procedures in a fast-paced cath lab. You will prepare patients, operate imaging and monitoring equipment, scrub and assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, and monitor hemodynamics and EKGs. You'll ensure strict adherence to sterile technique, radiation safety, and clinical protocols while documenting accurately in the EHR. Collaborating with cardiologists, nurses, and allied health staff, you'll provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care and respond promptly to emergent situations. Responsibilities Assist cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures Prepare patients and equipment for cardiovascular imaging and interventions Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment safely and accurately Monitor patient status, vitals, and EKG throughout procedures Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols Apply radiation safety principles for patients and staff Document procedures, findings, and care in the EHR accurately Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals Assist with emergency response during acute cardiac events Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment and supplies Required Skills Cardiovascular imaging Cath lab procedures EKG/ECG interpretation Hemodynamic monitoring Radiologic safety Sterile technique Patient monitoring & assessment Contrast media usage Electronic health records (EHR) Emergency response/BLS/ACLS
