Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment. You will operate and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment, assist physicians during catheterizations, stress tests, and vascular studies, and ensure accurate patient data collection and documentation. The role includes preparing patients, explaining procedures, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining strict safety, infection control, and radiation protection standards. Responsibilities Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures (e.g., catheterizations, stress tests, vascular studies) Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot cardiovascular imaging and monitoring equipment Prepare patients, explain procedures, and monitor vital signs and patient status throughout exams Accurately document procedures, measurements, and findings in electronic medical records Apply and maintain strict infection control, radiation safety, and patient safety protocols Assist physicians and nurses during invasive procedures, anticipating equipment and supply needs Maintain procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies in readiness for emergency and scheduled cases Participate in on-call rotations as required to support emergent cardiovascular cases Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes and workflow Engage in ongoing training and professional development to maintain competencies and certifications Required Skills Cardiac catheterization procedures EKG/ECG operation and interpretation Echocardiography support Stress testing procedures Hemodynamic monitoring Radiation safety and protection Medical imaging equipment operation Patient preparation and monitoring Electronic medical record documentation
