A well-established pediatric cardiology practice in Savannah, GA is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to join its team. This specialty practice provides comprehensive cardiac care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults, including diagnostic cardiac imaging and ongoing care for patients with congenital and acquired heart conditions. This is a great opportunity for an experienced pediatric echo technologist or an adult cardiac sonographer who has a genuine interest in transitioning into pediatrics and pursuing pediatric echocardiography credentials. The position includes a shared on-call rotation with two other Echo Technologists, meaning call responsibilities are divided evenly among a three-person team. Employees who are called in while on call are paid time and a half. The Echo Technologists also rotate attendance at the practice's outreach clinics throughout Southeast Georgia. Staff travel to outreach locations together as a team. Qualifications RDCS credential required/preferred Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) credential strongly preferred Candidates who currently hold RDCS and are interested in pursuing pediatric accreditation will be considered Pediatric cardiology echocardiography experience strongly preferred for temporary candidates Adult cardiology echo experience may be considered for temp-to-hire candidates who are committed to learning pediatric echocardiography Must be comfortable working with pediatric patients and their families Strong attention to detail and ability to obtain high-quality diagnostic images Dependable, professional, and able to work collaboratively within a specialty care team Long-term interest in pediatric cardiology is important for candidates requiring additional training Position Details The Echocardiography Technologist will perform cardiac ultrasound studies in a busy pediatric cardiology environment and work closely with physicians and other clinical team members.

Responsibilities may include:

Performing diagnostic echocardiograms on pediatric patients Obtaining accurate, high-quality cardiac images for physician interpretation Preparing patients and families for echocardiography procedures Documenting studies appropriately within the EMR Communicating effectively with physicians and clinical staff Participating in the practice's rotating outreach clinic schedule Participating in the shared on-call rotation Maintaining professional and compassionate interactions with pediatric patients and their families Outreach Clinics The practice provides specialty pediatric cardiology services throughout the surrounding region. Team members rotate attendance at outreach clinics located in: Brunswick Statesboro Waycross Douglas Vidalia Staff travel together as a team to outreach locations. Call Rotation Call responsibilities are shared evenly among three echocardiography technologists. Employees receive time-and-a-half pay for call-ins while on call. EMR Greenway PrimeSuite Full-time availability is preferred; however, part-time candidates may also be considered if they have strong pediatric credentials and experience.

$26.00 - $32.00 per hour
