1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a cardiac cath lab position requiring an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology and current ARRT certification. Details Cardiac Cath Lab setting serving adult and geriatric patients Procedures include cardiac catheterization with roles as computer operator, scrub assistant, second circulator, and recovery technician Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week Requirements Associate's Degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certifications required Completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course required Current registration in the state of Kentucky required (license required if applicable) 1 year of invasive vascular experience preferred MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration Additional Information Assists the circulating RN with assessment and implementation of care for cardiac cath lab patients, including recognizing drugs and lab values that may contraindicate procedures Responsible for safe operation of fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment, including setup and first-line assist to the physician while maintaining sterile technique Documents procedural information, patient demographics, and continuously monitors and analyzes hemodynamic data Monitors and assesses radiation safety in accordance with code of practice guidelines and adheres to radiation protection protocols for both patients and personnel Assists with access and administration of medications on and off the sterile field, ensuring all medications and solutions are properly labeled Accurately calculates valve areas and shunts, and assists in the management of emergency situations
