2 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week cardiac cath lab assignment requiring ARRT and active KY licensure. Details Work setting includes 2 cardiac cath labs with rotation in an EP lab Adult patient population with 8-10 procedures per day and 6-8 STEMI cases per month Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiology, device implants (pacemakers and ICDs), peripheral diagnostics and interventions, and EP ablations Devices and tools used include Shockwave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, Penumbra, and ACIST injector Both radial and groin access approaches are used Rotating schedule of 84 hours per two-week period (one week 3x12, alternating week 4x12) Monday through Friday schedule with one rotating weekday off per week Call requirement of 8-15 days per month and one weekend every 3 weeks; must be able to respond within 30 minutes for STEMI alerts Call team consists of 2 RNs and 1 Rad Tech Floating required within clinical scope per facility policy Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in cath lab specialty required Active AHA BLS and
AHA ACLS
required ARRT certification required Active compact or KY state license required; candidates willing to apply for KY licensure upon offer will be considered (license required if applicable) Copy of valid driver's license required for consideration; address must match permanent address 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 charge nurse or higher and 1 supervisor reference, both completed within the last year Candidates must reside 75+ miles from the facility; no local candidates will be considered Additional Information Responsibilities include table panning, scrubbing diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases, device implant assistance, and cross-trained EP support (training available) Scrubs and lead apron are provided Orientation is held bi-weekly Up to 7 days of RTO will be considered; RTO must be declared upfront and no changes will be accepted after submission Must be available to work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; paired travelers will not be placed on the same shift or unit After working one year within the system, travelers must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return First-time travelers will be considered for this position
