This contract opportunity is designed for an experienced Cath Lab Tech eager to make a difference working with advanced imaging equipment and supporting vital cardiovascular procedures.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification or registration as a Cath Lab Tech (RCIS or equivalent preferred) Demonstrated experience operating and troubleshooting complex imaging equipment within a catheterization laboratory In-depth knowledge of sterile techniques, patient safety, and radiation protection protocols Strong ability to assist physicians and clinical teams during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures Proficient in monitoring patient responses and accurately documenting procedural details Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills BLS and ACLS certifications required
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and operate imaging technology for cardiac catheterization procedures, including angioplasties and stent placements Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care before, during, and after procedures Maintain equipment calibration and cleanliness, adhering strictly to regulatory and infection control standards Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to emergencies as part of the cardiac care team Accurately record and update procedure-related documentation and patient information Provide support during code or emergency situations in the lab Enjoy working alongside highly skilled colleagues while gaining exposure to the latest advancements in cath lab imaging technology.
