  • Check out our benefits here! Performs basic adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures to include 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler and 3-D LVEF Echocardiograms. Assists with trans-esophageal echocardiograms. In training for exercise stress and pharmacological stress echocardiograms and pediatric (congenital) echocardiograms. Responsibilities
  • Performs all basic adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures. Edits tracings, makes measurements and enters data into computer. Distinguishes between normal and abnormal cardiac findings.
  • Performs cardiac sonographer duties to meet departmental needs including recognizing arrhythmias and implications of specific cardiac and related diagnoses to obtain optimal studies. Operates complex equipment accordingly.
  • Performs adult echoes on-call. Participates in pediatric on-call echoes with the assistance of a pediatric back-up sonographer.
  • Participates in exercise stress pharmacologic stress echo training.
  • Participates in weekly imaging conference presentation.
  • Facilitates patient flow within the section and maintains a pro-active approach in dealing with patient concerns.
  • Participates in Quality Assurance and quality control programs.
  • Ensures that equipment failures are reported and documented.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications
  • Associates Degree from accredited cardiac ultrasound program or RDCS/RCS-eligible background with 1 year of cardiac echo experience.
  • Proficient on all equipment in the lab within the first 3 months of employment. Required Licensure/Certifications
  • RDMS certification Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
  • Adult Echocardiography (RDCS
  • AE) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
  • Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.
  • BLS certification required upon hire.
