Radiologic Technologist (RT) Certification Job Summary Medix is currently partnering with a premier hospital facility in Perth Amboy, NJ to place an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a travel contract position. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled clinician who can step in, work independently, and make an immediate impact within a busy, high-quality healthcare environment. Responsibilities Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including wire, catheter, balloon, stent, and advanced device handling. Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and patients for left/right heart catheterizations, IVUS, FFR/IFR, Shockwave, Penumbra, Impella, pacemakers, leadless devices, and loop recorders. Operate and monitor the department's manifold and hemodynamic monitoring systems. Perform daily quality control on GE and Toshiba Cath Lab equipment to ensure full operational readiness. Participate in required STEMI call rotation and urgent weekend case coverage as scheduled. Document patient care and procedural data accurately within the Epic EHR system. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, and staff, assisting with onboarding permanent staff as needed. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment. Active Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification required upon hire. Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Demonstrated expertise operating manifold/hemodynamic monitoring systems and Cath Lab imaging equipment. Proven capability to work independently with minimal onboarding and maintain efficiency in a high-demand clinical setting. Preferred Qualifications Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification preferred. Prior experience utilizing Epic EHR software.
