The Cardiovascular Tech II will assist physicians with all invasive cardiac, neuro/neurovascular, vascular/endovascular, electrophysiology, structural heart procedures and circulatory support devices as indicated (i.e. IABP and Impella). In addition, the Cardiovascular Tech II will assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, adherence to protocols for clinical research trials, and support quality based departmental initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technologist program or radiologic technologist program or graduate of an applied science program. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platform.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Associates or Bachelors Degree in health science field. Prior experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory, invasive procedure area or special procedures radiology Hemodynamic monitoring and sterile operative techniques.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 3 months of employment. Within 1 year of hire must have successfully passed RCIS exam given by CCI or Radiologic Technologist License.
