6a-4p; 6:30a-4:30p; 7a-5p Shift 1 Job Description To provide care, preparation and positioning of patients to obtain high quality diagnostic images utilizing ionizing radiation. Responsible for the set up and operation of all invasive and non invasive equipment used during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular catheterizations, inclusive of documentation. Performs duties required to provide optimal patient care in the procedure labs. Education And Credentials Radiology Technologist License required upon hire. Am Reg of Rad Tech (ARRT-R) required upon hire and must be current and maintained for any employees hired/transferred effective 7/8/14. NYS Cert For IV Contrast Admin within 90 Days required. ARRT-CI Cardiac Interventional, ARRT-VI Vascular Interventional, ARRT-CV Cardiovascular Interventional, RCIS or RCES Certificate required within 3 years of hire/transfer effective 7/8/14. Must sit for first exam within 18 months of hire/transfer. Certification must remain current and active. Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days. BLS
  • Existing Cardiovascular Rad Technologists as of 11/10/2020 will have until 8/31/2021 to obtain their BLS. Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days. ACLS
  • Existing Cardiovascular Rad Technologists as of 5/14/2024 will have 6 months to obtain their ACLS
  • Cardiac Modality Only.
Experience 3 years of experience in Imaging Technologist Position (CT, MRI, Radiology, etc.) required. Previous interventional angiography experience (within past 5 years) is the first preference.
