1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab with 2+ years of experience and required imaging or invasive cardiovascular credentialing. Details Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting 13-week assignment Shift runs 06:45-17:00 or 07:00-17:30 Performs angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures Assists Radiologist/PA during procedures Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from CCI required within 6 months of hire, or Cardiographic Tech (CCT) credential from CCI required prior to hire, or ARRT Radiography credential required prior to hire ACLS preferred (AHA or American Red Cross accepted) PALS preferred (AHA or American Red Cross accepted) License required if applicable Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start of assignment Additional Information Prepares and positions patients, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical parameters Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within scope of practice and applicable regulations Monitors patients during procedures and reports abnormal activity Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards Radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
