1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab requiring 2+ years of specialty experience. Details Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting with Hybrid OR capability 1:1 patient ratio 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM or 9:30 AM-6:00 PM 13-week assignment On call required every 4 to 5 weekends Epic charting system experience required Special equipment includes Impella, IABP, Aviggo+, IVUS, Coroflow, Rotoblade, GE Innova IGS, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound Performs coronary and peripheral lithotripsy procedures Requirements Minimum 2 years experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab ARRT (R), ACLS, and BLS certifications required ARRT CI certification preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Experience with coronary/peripheral lithotripsy required Skilled in angioplasty, endovascular interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and vascular studies Proficient in cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and hemodynamic monitoring Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) Skilled in sterile technique and scrub procedures License required if applicable 2 valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include EKG lead placement, access site prep, equipment setup, room circulator duties, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias Performs procedures such as ASD closures, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, and permanent pacemaker insertion Maintains equipment and inventory in the cath lab Scrubs provided First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of specialty experience Local candidates accepted at a different rate within a 50-mile radius RTO must be submitted at time of consideration and no changes accepted afterward
