Position Overview:

Comprehensive Care Services is looking for a PBMT in the Dallas, TX area. The PBMT supports the Perfusion Department in delivering safe and efficient patient care during cardiovascular and surgical procedures. Assists perfusionists during open heart surgeries and provides cell salvage, PRP support, equipment preparation, and operational assistance to ensure procedures are performed according to established protocols, hospital agreements, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist perfusionists during open heart surgery, including charting and procedural support, while operating cell saver systems for vascular, orthopedic, cardiac, and trauma cases. Provide support for PRP procedures when required and ensure perfusion equipment and supplies are properly stocked, maintained, and cleaned across clinical areas. Perform system checks, documentation, and quality control processes, while also assisting with administrative tasks and gathering patient information as needed. Provide on-call coverage for emergency procedures and cell saver support, complete patient billing documentation and quality care databases after each case, and ensure compliance with all organizational policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum of one (1) year of college education or a college degree, or at least one (1) year of work experience in a medical field. Employees are required to obtain the Peri-Operative Blood Management Technologist certification within one (1) year of employment and maintain it thereafter, or hold a current credential as an Anesthesia Technician, Anesthesia Technologist, Paramedic, Fire Technologist, or Registered Nurse.
