1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Invasive Technician / Cath Lab Tech with 2+ years of experience for a cardiac catheterization lab in the Greater Austin, TX region. Details Cardiac catheterization lab setting performing diagnostic and interventional peripheral and coronary procedures Duties include arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, and thrombolytic therapy 4x10 hour AM shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday with variable days On-call requirement 13-week travel assignment Requirements Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required EP and IR experience preferred BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only) required ARRT (R) certification required with TX MRT or RCIS license required if applicable Graduate of an accredited program Active TX license required as applicable to profession Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and invasive cardiac/vascular instrumentation and techniques Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills Basic computer literacy required Additional Information Responsible for surgically scrubbing in and assisting with equipment during procedures Prepares and maintains sterile fields, circulates in procedure rooms, and collects procedural data Monitors patient ECG and vital signs during catheterization procedures and responds to emergencies as needed Performs pre- and post-procedure patient care, monitoring, and transport Documents relevant medical information and enters catheterization data, gradients, and stenosis calculations Follows national and state radiation protection regulations Maintains and orders procedure room supplies and equipment Navy scrub color required Flu shot mandatory with no exemptions during flu season (August through November) Two professional references required Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local travelers accepted
