Lone Star Cardiology is opening two outpatient cardiology clinics and is hiring one sonographer, credentialed in both cardiac and vascular ultrasound, to work both offices. This is a small, physician-owned practice. The physician sees patients beginning December 2, 2026. You will be one of the first members of the team and will have a real say in how the lab is built and run. The job is split between both clinics: 6705 I-30 Frontage Road, Suite A, Royse City, TX 75189, and 810 E Ralph Hall Parkway, Suite 120, Rockwall, TX 75032. The weekly schedule will say which clinic each day. The drive between the two offices is about 15 minutes on I-30. You will work directly with the physician. Charting and imaging are in athenahealth and our imaging system. What you will do Work the assigned clinic each day, Royse City or Rockwall. Perform transthoracic echocardiograms, including contrast and strain where indicated.

Perform vascular studies:

carotid duplex, arterial and venous duplex of the upper and lower extremities, ABI/PVR, and aortic screening. Assist with exercise stress testing, 12-lead EKGs, and Holter/event monitor hookups. Prepare complete, protocol-compliant studies and preliminary measurements for physician interpretation. Help set up lab protocols, workflows, and equipment, and maintain image quality. Prepare patients, explain procedures, and keep patient information private under HIPAA. Back up the MA with rooming and vitals when needed. Backup the front office with check in and check out when needed. Required Active credential in cardiac sonography: RDCS or RCS (ARDMS or CCI).

Active credential in vascular sonography:

RVT or RVS (ARDMS or CCI). A candidate with one credential and the other in progress will be considered. At least two years of outpatient echo experience. Vascular experience is strongly preferred. Current BLS (CPR) certification, or willing to obtain it before the start date. Able to scan independently without close supervision after orientation. Reliable transportation to both Royse City and Rockwall. The schedule moves between the two clinics. Authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Experience with stress echo, strain, or contrast imaging. Experience helping open a new lab, or comfort working without a large support staff. athenahealth or PACS experience. Spanish bilingual preferred Pay is based on credentials and experience. Full-time, Monday through Friday, working both the Royse City and Rockwall clinics.
