1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a Level 1 cardiac facility, requiring 3-5 years of experience and RDCS or RCS certification. Details Non-invasive cardiology department at a Level 1 cardiac facility Performs transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms on adult patients Level 1 cardiac program includes ECMO, Impella, TAVR, and LVAD procedures May assist physicians in procedure rooms and operating rooms with echocardiograph studies 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Requirements 3-5 years of experience at a Level 1 facility required BLS certification (AHA only) required RDCS or RCS certification required Active TX license required if applicable Experience with complex sonographic principles, instrumentation, and techniques Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology Proficient in approved clinical protocols for cardiovascular ultrasound examinations Two professional references required Flu vaccination required with no exemptions Additional Information Prepares patients for procedures and obtains clinical history to guide imaging techniques Records statistics and performs daily maintenance of the echocardiography lab and equipment Acts as a resource to staff, physicians, and students on equipment and procedures Assists with IAC accreditation activities and quality protocol adherence Implements new technology and protocols as standards evolve Scrubs must be any solid color with no prints Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
