Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 3 (IR) Inova Health System United States, Virginia, Fairfax May 13, 2026 Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a dedicated Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 3 to join the team. This role will be full-time 40 hours per week Four Shifts a week at ten hours per shift with on-call requirement. Sign on and Relocation Bonus Available. Job Responsibilities:
Formulates an individual Plan of Care for patients with complex needs to achieve a desired outcome. Acts as a clinical resource and serves as a mentor to healthcare team members while displaying leadership behaviors. Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals. Demonstrates evidence of self-development activities (beyond orientation) and attends services/seminars related to field. Anticipates/maintains lab supply needs during procedures. Supports and suggests departmental cost-saving strategies and provides care in an efficient and cost conscious manner. Performs higher-level tasks in the care of cardiac cath patients (e.g. Impella and new technologies). Provides complete care of patients with complex needs to achieve desired outcomes including patients on life support systems (e.g. ventilator and ECMO). May perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
Licensure
  • Registered Nurse Upon Start If the team member doesn't possess one of the above registries, the team member must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse. Certification
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association Upon Start; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Upon Start; Registered in one of the following: RCIS, RCES, RTRVI, RTRCV, RTRCI, unless a graduate of an accredited school of nursing., CPR; ACLS if Critical Care Certification. Experience
  • One year of experience at an Inova cath lab or EP lab at a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 2 level. Two years of equivalent experience/training in an interventional cardiac Cath Lab or an Electrophysiology Lab. Education
  • Associate Degree
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.
