Full-Time Cardiac Sonographer Peace Arch Cardiovascular (also known as Peace Arch Cardiology) is seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and dedicated Full-Time Cardiac Sonographer to join our independent, multidisciplinary private cardiology practice located in beautiful Bellingham, Washington . In this role, you will work alongside our board-certified cardiologists—led by Dr. Rajesh Bhola, MD, FACC—utilizing advanced diagnostic technology to deliver outstanding, evidence-based care to the Pacific Northwest community.

Compensation Range:
$50.00•$75.00 per hour (Based on experience, credentials, and skills)
Key Responsibilities Diagnostic Imaging:
Perform high-quality, comprehensive adult transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echocardiograms, and assist with contrast studies following established clinic protocols.
Patient Care:
Prepare and guide patients through the ultrasound process, ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy while maintaining an empathetic clinical environment.
Preliminary Reporting:
Analyze acoustic data, accurately measure cardiac anatomy/hemodynamics, document findings, and compile detailed preliminary digital reports for the interpreting cardiologists.
Clinical Collaboration:
Verbally communicate urgent or critical findings directly to the physician when immediate medical intervention is warranted.
Equipment & Suite Maintenance:
Maintain, sanitize, and calibrate ultrasound systems; keep exam rooms fully equipped, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (CAAHEP-accredited program with a cardiac concentration highly preferred).
Credentials:
Active Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer ( RDCS via ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer ( RCS via CCI). New graduates eligible to sit for boards may be considered but must obtain registration within 12 months of hire.
Vascular Skills:
Knowledge of Vascular Sonography is a strong plus (e.g., Carotid Duplex, Peripheral Arterial/Venous studies); dual registration ( RVS or RVT ) is highly valued.
Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a dedicated cardiac sonographer is preferred; proficiency with modern imaging platforms and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) required.
