1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R or RCIS certification. Details Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology unit within a 325-bed short-term acute care hospital Performs all diagnostic procedures including PCI (stents, balloon angioplasty, laser, rotablator, Impella, IABP, CTO) Structural Heart procedures including TAVR, balloon valvuloplasty, and Watchman Electrophysiology procedures including EPS, Afib/flutter ablations, and BIV pacemaker implants Uses Epic for charting 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM On-call required one day per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience required BLS and ACLS certification required ARRT-R or
CCI RCIS
certification required (not both) WA state RT or CIS license required (not both) - license required if applicable Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration Teaching hospital and community hospital experience required Rhythm interpretation skills preferred Additional Information Responsibilities include EKG lead placement, room circulator duties, and maintaining sterile field as scrub Performs electrophysiology procedures including arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, and AICD insertion/programming Performs cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, cardiac stent placement, and temporary pacemaker insertion Coil embolization skills preferred Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities First-time travelers are not accepted for this role Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for travel contracts Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the application process
