Responsibilities The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech) provides coordinated patient care to adult patients requiring cath lab service including scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring during diagnostic and interventional procedures. This includes pre-procedure patient preparation, post-procedure recovery and emergency interventions. The Invasive CV Tech must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients.Age of population served:
Adult, Geriatric. Qualifications A graduate of a diploma,associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science(includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing). Prefer at least one year of experience in a cardiac cath lab if not a graduate of a Cardiovascular Technology Program. Training and demonstrated competence in cardiac rhythm/arrhythmia recognition.Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist:
ARRT- Cardiac Interventional or Vascular Interventional; Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Technologist, Radiography-Cardiovascular Interventional [RT(R)(CI)] or Registered Technologist, Radiography
- Vascular-Interventional [RT(R)(VI)] credential required within 2 years of date of hire. Basic Life Support required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 3 months of employment. Exemption Status Nonexempt Compensation Detail $35.45
