A Cardiovascular Technician or Technologist uses imaging technology and other procedures to diagnose cardiac (heart) and vascular (blood vessel) problems in patients. Works closely with cardiologists and medical sonographers. Works in hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

Patient Preparation:
Review medical histories and prepare patients for procedures by cleaning, shaving, or numbing testing sites and ensuring proper positioning.
Clinical Monitoring:
Observe patients before, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any abnormal findings or changes in condition to the medical team.
Testing & Analysis:
Conduct diagnostic tests, interpret results, and identify recording errors or artifacts to ensure accurate data reporting.
Equipment & Lab Upkeep:
Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring all tools function correctly and following lock/tag out safety protocols for malfunctions. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification /
Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
