Job Description
Experienced Dental Treatment Coordinator We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Dental Front Office Treatment Coordinator to join our busy and growing dental practice. This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have dental front-office experience and be knowledgeable in insurance verification, benefit breakdowns, patient estimates, treatment presentation, payment collection, and schedule management. A primary focus of this position is keeping the doctors' and hygienists' schedules full and productive. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, professional, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Maintain full, organized, and productive doctor and hygiene schedules Proactively fill cancellations and same-day openings Contact patients with unscheduled treatment and overdue hygiene appointments Manage appointment confirmations, continuing care, recall, and patient reactivation Verify insurance eligibility and obtain complete benefit breakdowns Accurately document deductibles, annual maximums, frequencies, limitations, and exclusions Prepare accurate patient estimates based on insurance benefits and office fees Present treatment plans clearly, confidently, and professionally Help patients understand recommended treatment, estimated costs, and payment options Collect and accurately post patient payments to the correct ledger Review payments, adjustments, balances, estimates, and account notes for accuracy Check patients in and out and answer incoming calls professionally Maintain accurate patient, scheduling, insurance, and financial information in Dentrix Coordinate effectively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and front-office team members Assist with other front-office responsibilities as needed Qualifications Previous dental front-office experience required Strong knowledge of dental insurance benefits and breakdowns Experience preparing estimates and presenting treatment plans Experience maintaining full doctor and hygiene schedules Dentrix experience preferred Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through Comfortable discussing treatment costs and collecting payments Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment Professional Expectations Arrive on time, prepared, and maintain excellent daily attendance Demonstrate a strong work ethic and remain productive throughout the day Maintain a professional, mature, and solutions-oriented attitude Contribute to a respectful, positive, and cooperative workplace Communicate concerns directly, respectfully, and through the appropriate channels Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding patients, coworkers, and office matters Take initiative without requiring repeated reminders Carefully double-check ledger entries, payments, estimates, and patient information Take accountability, correct errors promptly, and learn from feedback Work cooperatively and willingly assist team members Treat patients and coworkers with courtesy and respect We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the schedule, pays close attention to details, follows through on responsibilities, and contributes to a calm, efficient, and professional work environment.
Pay:
