Denver, CO Job Details Full-time $24 - $26 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Customer communication Experience working with individuals with dementia Patients with cognitive disabilities In-person customer service Working with geriatric patients Working with seniors High school diploma or GED Productivity software Full Job Description The Memory Care Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations and the provision of quality care to our Memory Care residents living in the Community under the direction of the Director of Resident Care. The Memory Care Coordinator trains, supervises, and schedules staff members.
General responsibilities include:
coordinating services from dietary, maintenance and housekeeping departments; maintaining a clean and attractive environment; ensuring staffing levels remain above state regulations; ensuring residents enjoy daily activities that are structured and well organized. Operates in accordance with established policies, procedures, and practices that comply with federal, state, and local regulations. He or she demonstrates knowledge of the patients' physical, social, emotional, and psychological needs based on the health care required.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
Helps with the management and daily operations of the memory care department Provides resident care following established resident service objectives and standards Helps manage and oversee staff Manages supplies and ensures orderly work areas Communicates with residents, staff and families regarding treatment and care Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
Qualifications & Physical Requirements :
Desire to work with the seniors in an environment that upholds their privacy, dignity, choice, independence, and individuality. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficient computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
Education & Experience :
High school education required At least one year of experience with dementia and/or Alzheimer's At least one year of experience in an assisted living community preferred Experience in supervising and managing staff a plus This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee in this position.
