The Clinic Medical Assistant/Care Coordinator supports healthcare providers and clinical staff by performing both clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care. This role is essential in creating a safe, organized, and compassionate environment for patients.

97 (posted hourly range excludes overtime and bonuses which are not guaranteed) Essential Job Functions Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accurately Communicate effectively with providers and administrative teams to ensure continuity of care Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked exam rooms Document patient care and maintain accurate patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding scheduling, care plans, and general inquiries Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and next steps in a clear and compassionate manner Verify insurance information and assist with pre-authorizations as needed Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines at all times Assist with front desk tasks, including patient check-in and check-out Handle phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries as needed Support inventory management and ordering of medical supplies Support quality improvement initiatives related to patient experience Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education Additional Duties Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required . Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred. Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred or required per clinic policy

Experience:

1-3 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred . Experience with EHR systems and basic clinical procedures preferred Physical Requirements This position requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to fifty (50)+ pounds while administering care to patients. Stooping, kneeling and/or crouching daily in delivery of patient care. Standing and walking for more than five (5) hours per day; running occasionally in responding to patient care emergencies. Working Conditions/Environmental Exposures Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts. Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary. Ash Immunizations and Vaccinations Requirements Aligns with CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for Healthcare Personnel Hepatitis B

• Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Hepatitis B or three doses Hep B vaccine at appropriate intervals Influenza
• documentation of current seasonal flu vaccine (mandatory from November 1st through March 31st each year) Measles, Mumps, and Rubella
• Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella or 2 doses of MMR Vaccination Varicella (chickenpox)
• Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Varicella or 2 doses of Varicella Vaccine Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap)
• documented proof of immunization Tuberculosis Screening
• Documentation of a two-step TB skin test within the past year OR lab verification of a negative TB Gold or T-Spot tuberculin test within the past 6 months
• Vaccine records or evidence of immunity are required prior to 1 st day of scheduled work.
