Full Job Description About Us:
First Steps Pediatric Therapy is dedicated to supporting children and families through high-quality, compassionate therapy services. Our team of pediatric specialists provides occupational and physical therapies tailored to help each child reach their fullest potential. We are seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and detail-oriented Referral and Care Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Position Overview:
The Referral and Care Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for new patients and families. This role is responsible for managing incoming referrals, guiding families through the intake process, coordinating care with providers and physicians, and ensuring families feel supported every step of the way. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a strong communicator, and has a heart for working with families.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and process incoming referrals. Serve as the main point of contact for new families, providing clear communication and support during the intake process. Collect and organize necessary paperwork and insurance information Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Communicate regularly with therapists, administrative staff, and external partners to ensure continuity of care. Track referral outcomes and follow up with families or referral sources as needed. Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a healthcare, pediatric, or therapy office setting preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Compassionate, patient, and family-centered approach. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency with Microsoft and experience with EMR systems preferred.

Schedule & Compensation:
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION
Competitive pay, commensurate with experience. Benefits package available for full-time employees (health, dental, vision, PTO, etc.). No weekends, 6 paid holidays per year.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
