Job Description

You will be responsible for: Computer entry and effective telephone etiquette. Maintains work schedules for Emergency Care Center (ECC). Maintain calendars for ECC leadership, record meeting minutes, and schedule meetings as needed. Monitors work schedules prepared by Nurse Manager and calls to the attention of the Manager/Director/Clinical Leaders any questions and discrepancies on a week-in-advance basis and on a 24-72 hour basis. Prepares master schedules 4 weeks in advance. Maintains blood culture and laboratory call back log performing patient call backs, relaying information from the patient record and provider, contacting pharmacies as directed by providers, and documenting in the patient record. Performs equipment and supply rounds at least weekly and orders equipment/supplies as needed. Required to interface with all levels of patient care personnel, hospital administration, and personnel agencies. Exhibits positive interpersonal skills in a high stress environment while dealing with numerous interruptions. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to work independently, exhibiting self motivation and effective use of time to meet deadlines. Demonstrates proactive and creative thinking in planning staffing. Exhibits initiative in organization, productivity and outcome of responsibilities.
