WEEKDAYS Your Work Matters How will you make a difference? As a Utilization Management Coordinator (UM Coordinator), you'll be a vital advocate for our patients, ensuring they receive the best care possible by liaising with external case managers and managed care organizations to certify and recertify insurance benefits. You'll help our treatment team understand insurance requirements for continued stay and discharge planning, and maintain a thorough understanding of patient treatments through ongoing communication with the team. You will advocate for patient access to services during treatment team meetings and individual physician contact, and lead treatment team meetings and continued stay reviews as indicated. Your role is key in guiding patients through their treatment journey and discharge planning, making a real difference every day! Review treatment plans and advocate for additional services. Promote effective use of resources for patients. Maintain contact with physicians and team members. Collaborate on continued stay and discharge planning. Ensure patients are placed in appropriate care levels. Document case management activities and track insurance reviews. Provide patient status updates and insurance requirements to staff. Manage the insurance appeals process and coordinate discharge plans. Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:

Education :

Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health, nursing, or a related degree preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting or managed care company, with experience in patient assessment, treatment planning, utilization management, and/or case management. Compensation:

We are seeking a full-time, salaried Utilization Management Coordinator. Compensation ranges from $64,500 to $72,500 per year, depending on employment status, experience, qualifications, and skill level.
